Bush: 'I take responsibility'

I have been hesistant to critisize Bush directly for the terrible handling of the New Orleans situation, as I think it is clear that there was a failure at all layers of Government, but I still have to commend Bush for this. I'm a believer in the line The Buck Stops Here, as it applies to the presidency and national policy. For right or wrong, the president is the nation's foremost face, and when something affects the nation, it affects him. Ultimately, the destiny of the nation lies with him. Anyway, bottom line is, bravo Bush for not simply blaming Brown and trying to slip past the issue. Now if only you'd take credit for some other blunders your administration has wandered into (*cough*Iraq*cough*).
